Puerto Madero is a new neighbourhood full of restaurants and bars. About the destination: The city of Puerto Madryn is located in the eastern region of the Province of Chubut on the Atlantic coast in the Patagonia region of Argentina. It is considered one of the best places in the world for watching marine animals in their natural habitat. Puerto Madryn is the base for most tourists who come to see two beautiful Nature Reserves. These are Peninsula Valdes and also Punta Tombo. Both of them are unique wildlife sanctuaries. Here one can see penguins, a great number of sea lions, elephant seals, dolphins, a wide variety of birds and whales. Whale watching is very popular activity and attracts tourists en masse. The snow-capped mountains are in view almost everywhere you look.Ushuaia is a good base from where to explore the surrounding beautiful scenery but there is also plenty to see in town. Parallel to the shoreline, Avenida San Martin is the main commercial street of the town and where everything is happening. It is a popular place for strolling, the street is lined with shops, cafes and restaurants. In the centre of Ushuaia you can see some interesting old houses built in the old colonial style, as well as the interesting Museo Del Fin Del Mundo, located in the Old House of Government. This museum presents the history of Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego including the history of the indigenous tribes that once inhabited this land. El Presidio is another popular attraction.
